What a trooper little Sophia was. Even at 9am the air was incredibly hot and sticky as we trudged through the Hotel Del and the beach. Sophia endured several outfit changes, the bright sun and harsh sand… all while managing to look like a little princess. Thank you Denise, Kirk (and Nana!) for being such great sports and taking the time off work for the photo session. I hope you enjoy the pictures!!

As promised, here are my next 3 sessions. All in a week, all at the beach.
It’s still summer; I even have a tan (sort of) to prove it.

I challenge anyone to look through this entire set and not crack a smile. Dinah has never had family photos taken professionally before and had one request: to capture them just as a family, not too staged. She then proceeded with “Everyone is a jokester in my family, and they all love to laugh.” Well, Dinah. I think I was able to capture what you had in mind. It was hard not to!
Thanks again and I hope to see you and Amari for her birthday session!

I love the smiles of this family! Once again I had a fabulous time at Poway and meeting Julie and her wonderful clan. Little Oliver was all smiles over his toy cars and Henry looked picture perfect just chewing on Dad’s finger. Thank you Julie and Mike; I hope you enjoy the photos!

I love people from the Midwest. Perhaps I’m biased because I am from the Midwest, but they just seem so down to earth and friendly. Hanging out with the Bolie family was so much fun and Lake Poway was beautiful. Little Levi had extremely cute clothes, but I must admit that my favorite pics are the ones that were taken between outfits. Thank you Molly and Jeremy for meeting with me (and getting me through the gate….) I had a wonderful time!

This session was a lot of fun. At first when the idea of being on a golf course came up, I was a bit skeptical. But then I showed up and saw Daddy’s little Caddy and just about melted. To top it off, London had on these amazing boots. With a laid back and beautiful mom I definitely had nothing to worry about! In about 2 minutes I stopped worrying about getting kicked out or hit in the head with a ball and had a blast. Thank you Kathryn for your ideas and getting me where I needed to be! Hope you love your pictures.

Cute little Fiona is back and growing up already. Angie, thank you for driving to my place and supplying the garden pail. I have always wanted to use one in a session and it was so fun to finally be able to! Hope you enjoy the pics!

I was so happy to be able to see these little cuties again! As you can see there are some new additions and some changes (Petra smiled this time!!) but my very favorite part of these pictures is that I actually laugh out load when I look at them. The kids expressions and moods are so transparent at this age and the little details are always so precious. Gail, thank you for letting me into your home and workplace. You’re clearly loved. (As seen in the last pic!) Hope you enjoy the finished product!

Right now, my very favorite thing to do with pictures is to turn them into wall clusters and splits. If you’ve had a session with me, or have one coming up, please check this out!! Many times my sessions have a set of pictures that go extremely well together. Of course, I do this on purpose and hope you turn your family pictures into a true work of art.

Kicking off the line-up are the cute and popular kids of San Raphael Daycare.

Next is little Fiona. You’ve seen her before she was born, as a newborn, and now…

Can’t wait to work on this session… be prepared for golf and horses!

Then we have the Bolie family at Lake Poway…

and Julie, Mike, Oliver and Henry at Old Poway Park…

With the Harmon family wrapping it up at Balboa Park.
Whew! Now, once again- back to work.
