Wommer Wedding in Hawaii

What can I say about a trip to Hawaii to capture a destination wedding?

Everything.

I can go on for hours! But… considering that this family has been anxiously awaiting their photos and I promised to have them up before Christmas, I’ll spare you the rambling speech. Instead, I’ll simply say that this entire group of people is simply amazing. They are loving, welcoming, fun, and caring. It was a pure delight to be fortunate enough to have this experience. Thank you Chris and Kristina, again, and again, and again…. Enjoy the photos. :)

To set the scene, I arrived in Hawaii and met Chris and Kristina by the pool. Then we relaxed for the rest of the night. (yes, this was a tough job. I got paid for this hour in fresh pineapple):

The next morning we went flower shopping in Chinatown:

Then we went to visit the Byodo In Temple (just because I wanted to… another thank you!) :)

Don’t worry, it didn’t take much convincing. It was the travel agent in me that wanted to go, and Chris is a big wig in the travel department of a large company. Side note: I totally plan on forcing them to visit Machu Picchu for their anniversary, and taking me along to capture it.

Later that evening, I walked from my hotel to theirs…

and wrapped up the night meeting some of the guests:

Day 3 was the morning of big day, and of course started out with getting ready:

After loads of fun with the girls, we went downstairs to meet the groom. (I loved the umbrellas!) Then off in the limo:

The ceremony was beautiful, and took place at the Ala Moana Park:

Then back to the hotel for the group shots:

I did a little vintage theme with the girls:

and then headed to the view of Diamond head to wrap it up. (Gee, we sure lucked out. It’s not crowded at all!) ;)

And finally…. the reception. We were all bused to Paradise Cove for the evening:

The coolest part of Paradise Cove (well, ONE of the coolest things) was the fire dancing!

And in conclusion (yes, whomever I stole this invitation from, you WILL get it back, I promise!):

They will live happily, ever-after.

The End. :) (Or is it just the beginning?!)
