Kathlene, Will and Madison are such great people. I’m so honored to be able to continue photographing this family, now for the third year in a row (can you believe it?!). I’ve always been captivated by Madi’s platinum curls and bouncy attitude. As you can tell, she’s a delight to photograph! Kathlene and Will, thanks for turning into nature buffs for the shoot; I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Denise and her family moved to Georgia last year, and all of us in San Diego have been missing them. Luckily, Denise had to come to town for work and managed to squeeze in a session. When I say squeeze in, I mean it literally- she was on a conference call when she arrived at Presidio Park! Poor Sophia was still on Eastern time and jet-lagged, but being a typical kid, she was up and smiling in a manner of minutes. Denise, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph your family again! I’ve missed you and was so happy to be able to see you once again. Hopefully that work trip went well, and they’ll have reason to send you out here more often!

What a great morning I had strolling around Coronado with Robin and her family. It’s funny that I remember leaving the session thinking that poor little Jackson cried the entire time, but obviously that wasn’t true. I’m quite surprised by so many different, and happy faces I was able to get out him! What really helped in that situation was that both Robin and Jason were so easy going, and chose to laugh instead of cry themselves. What a difference that makes!  I love these pictures as they show the true happiness that family brings. Enjoy!

Get ready for some gorgeousness! I use the word gorgeous a lot, but really, once you see these, you’ll understand there’s just no other word.  Last weekend, I met this family at Balboa Park and had a long session in the rising temperatures. At the time, we may have wondered if we got anything at all, but alas, of course we did. Prior to our session, Amy mentioned this: “I love the depth of my children’s eyes. Their eyes speak so much to me without words. I want to capture that.” So, to kick it off, I’ll start with this one of Alexander. Enjoy the photos!
